The “Global Huskies Fund" meets students’ needs and supports their belonging. Now more than ever, international students are seeking opportunities for connection and belonging. Our international student community is facing travel restrictions and fears which has lead to a lack of mobility. Through the summer and beyond we want to expand opportunities for our international student to connect with each other and the NIU community in engaging and fun ways. 

The Global Huskies Fund will support these students by providing:    

• Funds for organized activities both big and small. Such as a game nights, bowling tournaments, museum outings, cozy craft days, cultural trips to local and regional destinations, or movie viewing.    
• Funds to support events and celebrations of a variety of multi faith holidays that occur throughout the year (Eid, Ramadan, Diwali etc.) where students can also share stories and traditions with one another.
