Support the Couple and Family Therapy Clinic to Support Our Community!

The Couple and Family Therapy Center (CTFC) is an asset by providing therapeutic services to NIU students and to the surrounding communities. 

The on-campus CFTC managed by the Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy Program (SMFT) has been a vital part of the training of SMFT students since 1983. We have 6 therapy rooms and 4 observations rooms with one way mirrors. The CFTC helps develop professionalism, ethical practice, professional documentation and practice management for our students. In addition to its training value, the CFTC provides excellent therapeutic services to all NIU students and to the surrounding communities. 

The CFTC is a real asset to the community: during 2024 year,  SMFT students conducted 3,191 sessions with 253 clients! We are asking for support to provide free therapeutic services to 100 individuals, purchase therapeutic materials (therapeutic games, therapeutic assessments, and items for our therapy rooms), and help fund the CFTC graduate assistant position. Please support us as we continue to support others.
