Meeting Student Needs and Supporting Student Belonging

The “Global Huskies Fund" meets students’ needs and supports their belonging. This year, more than ever, we anticipate numerous international students will need to stay on/near campus during winter break. They may feel lonely and isolated during these weeks. They may want to make connections during this time, yet not have resources to do so. They may have extra expenses during this period when usual services may be limited.  

The Global Huskies Fund will support these students by providing:    

• Funds for organized activities, such as a game night, bowling tournament, museum outing, or movie viewing.    
• Funds to purchase food to prepare together for shared meals, including during multi-faith holidays that occur throughout winter break when they can also share stories and traditions with one another.      
• Funds for extra and unexpected costs during winter break, such as winter supplies, transportation, or household essentials.  

Matching Funds: A matching fund of $1,000 helps your donation go farther! If you donate any amount - $1, $10, $50, $100, $200 or more - your donation will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, until the $1,000 is exhausted. A gift at any level helps us meet our goal. Thank you!
