1899 Club - 2025
1899 Club Fund
The 1899 Club represents a bold vision for NIU Athletics — an approximately $4 million multi-use facility designed to provide enhanced nutritional services for student-athletes through a state-of-the-art training table. Named in honor of the year NIU first competed in intercollegiate athletics, the 1899 Club builds on the success of the Northwestern Medicine Sports Performance Center and the Phi Sigma Kappa Alumni Association Nutrition Center, which opened in June 2019.
Initially, the 1899 Club will provide training table meals for the football, volleyball, and basketball teams, with plans to expand services to additional programs. When not in use for team meals, the facility will allow the Student-Athlete Academic Support Services (SAASS) unit to expand tutoring and small group study spaces, enhancing the academic experience for all Huskie student-athletes.
Your contribution directly supports the creation of this essential space, helping NIU student-athletes fuel their performance and excel both on the field and in the classroom.
Thank you for investing in the health, nutrition, and success of NIU student-athletes through the 1899 Club.
