Help send Huskies, many of whom are first gen college students, on a life-changing trip to Cuba!

The Cuba 2025 Spring Break Experience.

Students can participate in a unique, unforgettable opportunity to visit Cuba. Students will learn from Cuban specialists about the country’s renowned disaster risk reduction program and the cooperation between the government and non-governmental organizations. Help our students experience the history and culture of Cuba.

  • Tour museums that dive into Cuba’s complex past, including the Cuban Revolution and cultural and religious institutions created by formerly enslaved African laborers.
  • Explore a sugar plantation, converted into a museum commemorating slave revolts.
  • Visit an organic farm and the home and studio of American literary great Ernest Hemingway.
  • Stay in Old Havana, a UNESCO world heritage site, a block away from the sea.

Help defray costs making this transformative experience affordable to Huskies. The trip is co-sponsored by the Center for Latino and Latin American Studies and the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies and will be hosted by Cuban NGO Fundación Antonio Núñez Jimenez.
