Hello!
We are the Students of Northern Illinois University’s School of Art and Design!!! 
Throughout our degree program, we spend nearly every day working hard on projects to hone our craft. Our art pieces can take weeks or even months to get to a state of completion. Because of the complexity of our projects and the amount of hard work we put into them, it is always such an honor when a professor asks us to display our work in the halls.
Displaying artwork in the hallways of the school gives us the opportunity to receive unique reactions to our pieces, and to advertise our work to potential clients. We are constantly looking for new ways to keep the art as safe as possible when it is out for viewing. This crowdfunding project will allow us to purchase display cases for the NIU School of Art and Design to house the art pieces that reside in the hallways.
Ceramic work by Abbie Hultquist displayed on a pedestal. We would like to purchase a protective acrylic box to protect this fragile ceramic artwork.
Protective display cases will allow students to show off their artworks with the confidence that they will be shielded from any damage. Every student puts their everything into their creations, and we want to work to grant them the peace of mind that their work will stay safe when it is out of their hands.
By supporting us in our efforts, you can help us make this desire a reality!!!! The dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts has promised to match funds up to $3,000!! So you donations can have double the impact!
Even if we do not meet our total goal, all of the funds we do raise will still be put towards as many display cases we can buy, as well as supplies for properly showcasing artwork such as matte boards, props, and lights. We want to thank you again for looking over our page and considering supporting our cause.
If donating is not an option, sharing the link to our project through social media, word of mouth and other methods will still aid us in getting closer to our goal.
