The University Honors Program at Northern Illinois University provides an enriched educational experience for motivated students to achieve greatness.
Located in the heart of the Honors Program office is the student computer lab where Honors students come to prepare for class, print materials, and interact with other Honors students and the staff. Our goal is to always make the University Honors Program office a space centered around our students and the amazing work they are doing.
The funds to update the computer lab space will allow us to achieve that goal by updating computers in the space to help students be more productive, but additionally aid us in highlighting current students and faculty from each of the colleges through framed photos and informational boards. This will help students feel connected to the office no matter what college they are from, as well as use the space to feature what we are currently doing in the program.
Current Honors students have unanimously agreed that they would benefit from an upgrade to the space and look forward to seeing it become more focused on them and their successes in the program.
