Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Asian American Resource Center's Manzanar Summer Interim Trip is an educational cultural experience for students to expand their knowledge regarding Japanese incarceration and its implications for AAPI (Asian American/Pacific Islander) individuals. A group of students from Northern Illinois University will visit the Manzanar Japanese Incarceration Camp and cultural sites highlighting Japanese history in the Los Angeles area. Upon returning to NIU, students will share their experiences to create dialogue that enhances AAPI issues and the culture at NIU. Funds raised will help pay for airfare, food and accommodations for our students while on the trip.
