Our Crowdfunding Groups
Traditionally the Marching Band Alumni Council and members of the community have worked tirelessly to help raise money for the marching band in terms of scholarships. As a result of these efforts, and a great deal of support from NIU, every single member of the group now receives some level of scholarship assistance! Looking forward (together forward), the hard-working men and women of the band need quality instruments to support NIU and to help the band sound its very best.
This year our focus is to provide trumpets and alto saxophones for members of the band. Many surrounding school districts (such as Rockford, Milwaukee and Peoria) provide school instruments for their students, K-12, so when those students come to NIU and want to join the band, we want to be able to encourage their participation by providing an instrument for them. If you have a high-quality instrument at home that you would be willing to donate to NIU, we can work with the Foundation to assess the instrument and possibly create a tax deduction for you. Or, cash donations allow us to buy new instruments to add to our inventory.

$50-$99 - 8th Note Club
$100-$249 - Quarter Note Club
$250-$499 - Half Note Club
$500-$999 - Whole Note Club
$1,000-$2,999 -. Fanfare Club.
$3,000+ - Fight Song Club.
