We Care - NIU's Autism Caregiver Group
We are a group of NIU faculty and students with interests in supporting families to those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our focus is to provide helpful information, resources and a supportive environment while also providing families with opportunities to connect with community professionals and therapeutic or recreational activities. In turn, the group simultaneously offers an enhanced educational experience for our NIU students.
We need donor support to continue our efforts as well as to increase our resources/outreach events! This year, we are thrilled to return to hosting in-person events, as well as continuing to provide a monthly newsletter packed with resources, webinars, crafts, activities and connection opportunities for families.
Sensory specific items are vital, and these items allow us to provide children with the tools they need to succeed.
