NIU Experiential Learning Center (ELC) Angel Fund donors make DOUBLE THE IMPACT.
The ELC brings NIU students with different talents, passions and knowledge together to work on business challenges for external organizations. The ELC was initially designed to assist for-profit organizations with fee-based projects. We quickly discovered that non-profits need our help too! Unfortunately, they don’t always have the financial resources to engage an ELC Team.
With this realization, generous alumni and friends created the ELC Angel Fund to support non-profit ELC projects each year. This generosity allows non-profits access to valuable business services AND gives 4-8 NIU students the opportunity to gain valuable resume-worthy experiences while delivering value to their non-profit client.
The ELC Angel Fund is currently accepting donations to fund an ELC project for a worthy non-profit in 2022-2023.
Last year’s generous donations helped two non-profits, the K.W.O.E. Foundation and One Voice One Team, both of whom work to make a difference in the lives of young people.
$10 will fund supplies like spiral notebooks for the team. They will come in handy as students detail the new marketing project.
$50 buys dinner for the group for one of those late night sessions that may produce the next genius idea. You’d pay $50 for a genius idea, right?
$100 buys the supplies to create that 3D model students will use to sell the great idea -- the one the ELC team developed -- for your boss. You’re going to look great next to that model!
$500 buys the group bus ride to your plant in central Illinois where the ELC team sees the thing that triggers that great idea for the new gangwhopper you are going to manufacture and market!
You know that these kids didn’t just wake up with the knowledge to help you create the next great plan? No, they were taught and nurtured by great NIU professors. Your donation will help fund a stipend to the ELC professor, coach and mentor.
