From all of us here at NIU Esports, we would like to offer our sincerest thanks! Your contributions and donations over the last month not only helped us to meet our $15000 goal for the year, but rocket past it by collecting just over $16000! A special thanks to our two extremely generous anonymous contributors who put together our Challenge gifts and Matching gifts programs for the year!
With your support and participation, we also were able to host a 12-hour stream-a-thon on the final weekend of the campaign and for the second year in a row, that event was a massive success! Thank you to everyone who tuned in, donated, played games or otherwise helped out with the stream-a-thon! As part of the event, we held a drawing of all eligible donations that were contributed throughout the stream and we are happy to announce the winners of those drawings!
Finally, we want to reiterate just how much all of your support will help in allowing our students to focus on honing their craft and representing NIU in the Esports Collegiate Conference! Once again, from all of here at NIU Esports, a sincere thank you goes out to each and every one of you!

Welcome to the final day of the 2022 Crowdfunding Campaign! First of all, a tremendous thank you to everyone who has donated in the campaign so far! Your help throughout the campaign and during our Stream-a-thon on Saturday truly paid off and we have already exceeded our goal for the year!
That said, we want to continue to push for even more! Remember, our anonymous donor is STILL matching every $500 until the end of the campaign! That means that we still have time to make your gift give even more! Keep up the hard work and we'll be able to provide even more support to our Varsity student-participants!

Hello Everyone!
We are nearing the end of our crowdfunding campaign, and as of this morning, we have raised over $9,000 for the program! We want to give another huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far. Your contribution will go a long way in providing a more affordable education for these hard-working, dedicated players.
Although we are currently 40% short of our goal, it is not too late to donate and help us reach it! This Saturday, April 16th, at 10 am on Twitch, we will be hosting a streamathon. This 12-hour stream will feature a wide variety of content including show matches between our varsity players, interviews with players and industry professionals, tournaments, and more. In addition, anyone who donates during our stream will have a chance to win four FREE tickets to a Kane County Cougars game!

Yesterday we mentioned that we would be letting you in on how to unlock more with your gift soon, and today I'd like to take a moment to let everybody know about our unlocking gift opportunities!
Thanks to some very generous donors, this year we have TWO opportunities for unlocking extra gifts.
Program One - New Donor Program
We want to encourage everyone to support our Varsity students and to add an extra incentive, one donor will be unlocking a $1000 gift at 25 new donors to the campaign and a second gift of equal value at 50 new donors to the campaign. To be considered a new donor, this must be your first gift across both 2021 and 2022's crowdfunding campaign. Additionally, every first-time donor, no matter how large the gift, counts towards this program, so I encourage you to show your support and donate for the first time as there has never been a better time to do so!
Program Two - Matching Gift Program
We are extremely excited to announce that one donor has decided to match every $500 received during the campaign, up to $15,000! This effectively means your donation counts double! All gifts of any size, and from any donor, regardless of experience, will count towards this amazing matching opportunity!

Just like the loot in some of our favorite video games, a "common"-tier gift is an essential foundation!
Just a step above "common"-tier loot, the "uncommon"-tier is another important piece in the foundation!
For gamers, rare loot is something received after dedicating some time to the game. For our campaign, every rare donation will provide enough to help fund a student's textbooks for the semester!
Now this is something you don't see everyday in games! Every epic donation will provide enough to the fund that a student could fund their meal plan for the semester!
Legendary loot, one of the hardest to obtain. In most games this loot drops after defeating bosses or completing challenging raids. For our campaign, every legendary donation will help provide enough support to fund one semester of a student's scholarship!
In games, Mythic loot is often the most difficult to find; in our campaign, mythic donations will fund at least one student's scholarship for the full year!
