The NIU Black Alumni Council Virtual Holiday Fundraiser started on Dec. 1, 2021 and raised $8,717 through the conclusion of the fundraiser at 4:30 p.m. CST on Dec. 21, 2021. You helped exceed the $5,000 fundraising goal by $3,717!

This incredible success was achieved with the help of 23 ambassadors who spread the word to their networks and competed for bragging rights for their organization. Special shout out to Lisa Maden-Howard, De'Andrea Robinson, and Eric Lindsay who brought in more than 15 donations each. Ultimately, the Zeta Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. took the lead with 43 gifts totaling $2,200. Epsilon Omicron Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was close behind with 22 gifts totaling $1,665. 

While every donation truly makes a difference in the lives of the students who receive the Fanny Ruth Patterson scholarship, we want to make sure to give a special shoutout to those who gave at our challenge levels. Thank you to all of our anonymous donors who gave at these levels as well! Check out the list below.

Scholarships for the Fanny Ruth Patterson scholarship will be awarded in Spring 2022.
