We wanted to take a moment to say thanks for your donation.
Generosity is inspirational, especially to the students of NIU's nonprofit degree program. Students working towards nonprofit careers do so because they feel there is an impact that only they can make. Many have personal stories behind why this is the career path they are on, which usually include words such as inspiration and impact.
Thank you for being inspirational by making an impact that will compound with time.
About the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies:
Since 2010, The Center of Nonprofit and NGO Studies has combined the community and the classroom to help students turn their passions into their careers. Students learn to apply skills like data planning, strategic planning, issue identification, research, analysis, and program development to address the issues they are devoted to.
Becoming directly involved in issues and organization structure, students work to impact society's greatest problems related to human rights, homelessness, food security, education, and community.
As of 2020, The Center has over 150 graduates primed to take leadership roles and over 100 minor certificates. In 2019, the Center of Nonprofit Studies at NIU offered 48 Internships; 33 of those internships were generously funded by local foundations and organizations.
Located at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies is the only program of its kind among Illinois public colleges. In fact, it is unique as a standalone program throughout the United States. The Center is a very diverse, interdisciplinary program that at its core promotes the growth and success of the Nonprofit Sector through education, research, and community engagement.
Make an Impact Today:
Our team is asking YOU to donate to our campaign for the Center of Nonprofit and NGO Studies at NIU. Every donation, small or large, will help the Center facilitate learning core concepts like philanthropy, budgeting, and governance and provide invaluable professional development experience in the nonprofit field and the sector at large. Unlike donations for a singular purpose, mission, or organization, this campaign is designed to impact the needs of the present and students' future needs in the growing and evolving nonprofit sector.
The money raised through this support effort directly impacts the cultivation of educational and professional development opportunities for students of the center and the Completion Scholarships that help our nonprofit students graduate. The center also seeks to increase the learning experience by implementing field trips, research experiences, conferences, and workshops.
Time is a luxury the sector, and these students, cannot afford to waste. Please help give these leaders of tomorrow the best to succeed by making a donation TODAY! Your choice to do so could be the greatest impact on a cause you care about.
Sincerely,
Ashley Hines, Samantha Pilkington, Gehrman Radtke, and Kirk Williams
