As nonprofit & NGO students (NNGO) at Northern Illinois University, we understand the importance of supporting our communities and working towards a brighter future. The Center of Nonprofit & NGO studies has supported us in our academics, networking, leadership, and co-curricular experiences.
The Center for Nonprofit and NGO studies has been a crucial resource in our development as students. Since 2010, the Center has provided the only undergraduate, public, nonprofit program in the state, and aims to create the leaders of tomorrow. It provides hands-on experience in several areas and financial support to students in need. In particular, your gift will support initiatives of the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies like the following:
Completion Scholarships to address financial barriers students may have when completing their degree. Many students have been on the cusp of taking a pause on their education or dropping out altogether. Completion scholarships provide the extra boost many students need in order to persist and finish strong.
Experiential Learning, Community Engagement, and Professional Development Opportunities such as travel to conferences, workshops, field trips, and research opportunities. An example would be traveling out of DeKalb for nonprofit site visits to see how organizations run and operate.
Textbook and Application Fees for things such as membership into nonprofit honor societies.
We are fundraising for the Center for Nonprofit and NGO studies at Northern Illinois University to give back, support current and future students, and gain firsthand fundraising experience. Please help us reach our goal of $500.00 that will directly support NNGO students and their endeavors.
