NGONGO
The nonprofit sector currently employs 14 million people in the United States. That is 14 million people with a passion for change, a commitment to a better world, and a desire to create impact. Two-hundred of those people were graduates from The Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies here at NIU. This program gives the students that are ready to change the world the education, support, and guidance they need to be the next pioneers in the world of philanthropy.

What is the Center for Nonprofit & NGO Studies?
The Center for Nonprofit & NGO Studies was formed in 2010 and is the only undergraduate nonprofit program in the state at a public university. Yet this is not the only thing that makes us unique, the Center for Nonprofit & NGO Studies holds great value in creating community leaders with organizational management skills by providing an interdisciplinary program. Students have been even been able to craft their own degree programs to pair nonprofit studies with their own interests such as in the environment, business, and international areas of study.
The Center for Nonprofit & NGO studies seeks to solve two types of problems:
The Center for Nonprofit & NGO Studies works towards the vision of being a place where anyone can come to find the best practices in the Nonprofit Sector through Education, Research, and Community Engagement.
Why do we need your financial support and where can you expect your financial contributions to go toward?

Hello, my name is Kayla Grochecki, and I am the team leader for our crowdfunding page! I am a senior Communications major and will be graduating in May of 2021. I am currently pursuing a certificate in Nonprofit and NGO studies. I wanted to earn this certificate because I am very passionate about helping others and finding ways where I can make a difference in someone else’s life.
I have really enjoyed the Nonprofit courses I have taken at NIU, and the people I have met in the program along the way. I am thankful that I have come across such a wonderful program and am constantly amazed at all that the Center for Nonprofit and NGO studies has done for students and our community. I look forward to seeing what they will do in the years to come. Thank you for visiting our page and we appreciate your contribution to helping us help huskies!!
